1. Acceptance of terms

By accessing thepulseletter.com ("the Site"), subscribing to The Pulse Letter ("the Newsletter"), or otherwise using anything we publish, you agree to these Terms of Use and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site or subscribe to the Newsletter.

The Site and Newsletter are intended for adults, and the content is written with a United States audience in mind. Availability, regulatory status, and standards of care for any medication differ by country.

2. Educational content only

All content on the Site and in the Newsletter is provided for general informational and educational purposes only. We summarize published clinical research and describe how a category of medication works in general terms, in plain language.

  • We describe general concepts — we do not evaluate your individual situation.
  • We cite published research where we reference clinical figures, but we do not promise outcomes of any kind.
  • Science and regulatory guidance change. Content that was accurate when published may become outdated, and we do not undertake to update past issues.
  • We do not recommend, endorse, or rank specific drug brands, providers, pharmacies, or treatment pathways.

3. Not medical advice

Important: The Pulse Letter is not medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Nothing on the Site or in the Newsletter creates a physician–patient, clinician–patient, or any other professional relationship between you and The Pulse Letter or its authors.

Always seek the advice of a licensed physician or other qualified healthcare professional with any questions you have about a medical condition, a medication, or a treatment decision. Only a clinician who knows your full medical history can tell you whether any medication is appropriate for you.

  • Never disregard or delay professional medical advice because of something you read here.
  • Do not start, stop, or change any medication, dose, or treatment based on our content.
  • Do not use the Site in an emergency. If you think you may have a medical emergency, call your doctor or your local emergency number (911 in the United States) immediately.
  • Prescription medications, including GLP-1 receptor agonists, carry risks and possible side effects, and are not suitable for everyone. Those risks must be assessed by a licensed prescriber.

4. Affiliate relationships and advertising

In accordance with U.S. Federal Trade Commission (FTC) guidelines, we disclose the following: this Site and the Newsletter may contain affiliate links, sponsored placements, or advertising. If you click such a link and take an action — such as signing up for or purchasing a product or service — we may earn a commission or fee, at no additional cost to you.

  • You never pay more because you used our link. Any commission is paid by the merchant out of its own revenue.
  • An affiliate relationship is not an endorsement, recommendation, or medical judgment about the product, provider, or medication in question.
  • Commercial relationships do not influence our educational content. We do not accept payment to alter how we characterize clinical evidence.
  • We may also receive revenue from newsletter sponsorships or display advertising. Sponsored content, where it appears, is identified as such.
  • We are not responsible for the products, services, pricing, claims, or privacy practices of any third party you reach through a link on this Site.

Whether or not a link is an affiliate link, you should evaluate any provider or product independently — and, for anything health-related, with a licensed clinician.

5. Third-party links and content

We link to external sources such as journals, regulators, and clinical resources so you can read the underlying material yourself. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, accuracy, availability, or privacy practices. A link is not an endorsement.

6. Newsletter and acceptable use

Subscribing is free, and you can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email or by contacting us. We may change the Newsletter's format, frequency, or content, or discontinue it, at any time. We may also decline or terminate a subscription at our discretion — for example, in cases of abuse.

You agree not to use the Site to violate any law; to interfere with or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Site or its infrastructure; to scrape or harvest data in a way that burdens our systems; or to submit an email address you are not authorized to use.

7. Intellectual property

The content, design, and branding of the Site and Newsletter are owned by The Pulse Letter and protected by copyright and other laws. You may read, print, and share our content for your own personal, non-commercial use, with attribution and a link back. You may not republish, resell, or redistribute our content commercially, or use it to train commercial machine-learning models, without our prior written permission.

8. No warranties

The Site and Newsletter are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or accuracy. We do not warrant that the content is complete, current, or error-free, or that the Site will be uninterrupted or secure. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties, so some of these exclusions may not apply to you.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, The Pulse Letter, its owners, authors, and contributors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, goodwill, or health outcomes, arising out of or relating to your use of — or inability to use — the Site, the Newsletter, or any third-party product or service reached through them. This applies whether the claim is based in contract, tort (including negligence), strict liability, or any other theory, and whether or not we were advised of the possibility of such damages.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the Site and Newsletter will not exceed one hundred U.S. dollars (US$100.00), which reflects the fact that the Newsletter is provided to you free of charge.

You are solely responsible for your own health decisions and for consulting a licensed clinician about them. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, and nothing here excludes liability for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by our negligence where such exclusion is prohibited by law.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms of Use from time to time. When we do, we'll revise the "Last updated" date above. Your continued use of the Site or Newsletter after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and of the state in which The Pulse Letter is operated, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions stay in effect.
